Scalectrix scale Rally Track

I'm considering building a Scalectrix sized rally track, the reason behind this would be the ease with which routing this scale seems to have, in comparison to the HO scale. With this design, it appears from reading others posts in forums, that a single 3mm route is required for the guide pin, then copper tape can be laid at an equal distance from both sides to supply power to the car. Apparently magnet cars will not adhere to this track, but that is not a problem for me, and will probably add to the "rally" experience.

Currently the plan is to have a track similar to the one below, although it will possibly be simplified due to the smaller size I have available for this track. I would also be putting in a few tighter turns and some "squeeze" places, possibly up the hill drive, with a fair amount of overtaking space in other areas. At this point in time I haven't decided whether I will be putting any timing features on the track - although this would be a nice touch, it is simply a case that I don't have any experience with this, so may just add to any initial problems I have with the track.
